Yes, there is a hidden bar on Coral Way. It sits along the corridor near FIU, it keeps a bookcase between the street and the room, and it is open Wednesday through Saturday from 6 PM to 1 AM. The name is The Library, and if you have driven past it you almost certainly did not notice. That is the whole idea.

What a Hidden Bar on Coral Way Looks Like From the Street
From the sidewalk we look like a quiet old book binding shop. No marquee, no rope, nothing that reads as a bar at all. People walk past us on their way to somewhere louder every single night, and the regulars rather like it that way.
The way in runs through specialTEA Lounge, the tea lounge and cafe run by the same team. Somewhere inside there is a bookcase, and the bookcase is the door. Step through and the century falls away. Candlelight, Art Deco brass, worn leather, and live jazz playing low enough that you can still hear the person across the table. It was built as a nod to the 1920s, when a drink was a small act of rebellion, and the story behind the room explains why we went to the trouble.
Open Late, Wednesday Through Saturday
The doors open at 6 PM and the room stays open until 1 AM, Wednesday through Saturday. There is no lunch service and no Sunday crowd here, which is worth knowing before you plan around us.
Those hours make us useful in a way that a lot of craft cocktail bars on this side of town are not. Dinner on Coral Way tends to wrap up around nine or ten, and that is usually when the night either ends or turns into a drive across the city. We are the third option. Come after dinner, come after a show, come after a late shift when you want one good drink somewhere calm rather than another round somewhere crowded.
Seatings start every 30 minutes and each window only holds a handful of people, which keeps the room quiet but also means the good times go early. Walk-ins are welcome, so you can absolutely take your chances. A reservation simply guarantees your seats. A Craft Cocktail Bar Without the Drive to Brickell
Miami's nightlife tends to cluster in Wynwood, Brickell, and on the Beach, and for years that meant a date night out here involved thirty minutes of traffic in each direction and a parking garage at the end of it. We picked this corner on purpose. The Library is minutes from FIU and an easy drive from Sweetwater, Kendall, Doral, and Tamiami, with free parking in the plaza lot right in front and street parking along SW 24th St.
The bar program earns the trip on its own. Prohibition-era recipes meet modern technique across sixteen taps, built on the classics that came out of that era and were refined over the century since, plus originals our bartenders build around books and the authors who loved a good drink. There is good food to go with it, and live jazz most of the night.
For a date night on Coral Way, that combination is hard to beat: a room that is dark and warm rather than loud, a drink that somebody actually thought about, and a door nobody else in the parking lot knows how to open.
How to Get Through the Door

One last thing. It is cocktail attire, which sounds stricter than it is. You do not need a costume, just the outfit you would put on for a night you had been looking forward to. The room is candlelit and dressed for the era, so it is nice when the people in it are too.
